KALIMPONG, June 07:
The
drinking water tank constructed by the Glenn Family Foundation Trust at Khadle
II was cleaned today followed by a plantation drive. It may be mentioned here
that the Glenn Family Foundation Trust has constructed this water tank on May
17, 2009. Recently 7 families are benefitting from this tank. Not only
Kalimpong town, but even the rural areas are undergoing water crisis. The said
trust has constructed such kind of water tanks at various areas of Kalimpong
which in a way proves to be of some help in this issue.
During
the cleanliness and plantation drive the Director of the Trust, Som Tshering
Lepcha along with Area Coordinator, Mala Sherpa was present. The students and
teachers of St Joseph School, Pedong planted saplings.
