The 68th
birth anniversary of late Rajiv Gandhi was observed today at the town’s
Congress party office. Commemorating the occasion the gathering paid homage to
the late Prime Minister.
The Congress party
members comprising of Shanti Sharma, L Namchu and PT Bhutia from the Bhutia
Association spoke about the contributions of Late Gandhi and also mentioned
about his love towards the hills.
The Kalimpong Youth
Congress also paid tribute to their late leader. The Youth Congress President,
Narendra Ghatani during the tribute informed that they have forwarded a letter
to the President of the Youth Congress of Karnataka regarding the mass exodus.
