Youth arrested with fake notes

Kalimpong, July 31:
Much hullabaloo rose in
the State Bank of India (SBI) situated at Main Road, Kalimpong after a person
was found with fake notes today. As per the information received, Mohammad
Wakil, a resident of 7th Mile had come to the bank around 1 p.m. to
deposit money in his account. He approached the cashier with Rs 23, 000 out of
which 12 notes (Rs 1000 each) were found fake. The Bank officials immediately
informed the Police after which Wakil was arrested. The fake notes have been
seized by the Police. Further, the Police are investigating how the accused got
hold of these fake notes and whether he is involved in some racket or not.
Accused Wakil was produced at the Kalimpong Court today where he have been sent to 5 days of police remand.Tags: LOCAL
