Resident of Chunabatti area of bakrakote which comes under pabringtar
gram panchayat today met b.d.o of kalimpong block one anandita
bhowmick and complained about the excessive tax collected by the
panchayat officials of pabringtar gram panchayat. The resident told
that the officials are collecting tax which was not paid during gjm
non cooperation movement . after hearing the complian bhowmick told
the resident that she will be inquiring the matter and also told them
that no such circular from the government side have been issued which
tells us not to pay taxes during agitation period.
