All India strike affects Kalimpong

Kalimpong, August 22:
Along with whole nation
the various public banks of Kalimpong, too remain shut due to which the banking
services was at halt further resulting in causing trouble to the public. The
staffs of the SBI were reported shouting slogans about their demands outside
the SBI branch at Kalimpong. Most affected were the people from the villagers
who, were unaware of the strike. However, the ATMs were found functioning.
Speaking on this, the CPIM leader, Tara Sundas said that the demands of the
bank employees are genuine and the public too, needs to support the employees
on this issue.
