Main Line Taxi Welfare Assoc bids adieu to its senior members

Kalimpong, August 22:
The 15th
Annual General Meeting of the Kalimpong Main Line Taxi Welfare Association was
held today at the Disha Bhawan under the Presidentship of its veteran member,
Jagdish Rai. The Association during the meet gave farewell to two senior
members namely, Jagdish Rai and Gorey Bhutia, who voluntarily retired. They
were also presented Rs 15, 000/- along with a felicitation letter for their
services to the Association.
The president of the
Asssociation, Tshering Dorjee Bhutia in his address advised the vehicle owners
and the drivers gathered from different syndicates to abide by the rules and
regulations of the Association. Any person who goes against the rules will be
found faulty and necessary actions will be taken against him.
Later during the
meeting the Treasurer, Obedna Tamang gave an account of the Associations
finances, while the Secretary, Wangdi Lama kept forward the annual report.
Also during the meet,
new executive body was formed after dissolving the former. The newly formed
body comprises of Tshering Dorjee Bhutia as the president, Arjun Rai as the
vice president, Binod Moktan as the chief secretary, Ningma Sherpa as the joint
secretary and Obedna Tamang as the treasurer.
