Biharis organize protest rally in Kalimpong
MUKESH SHARMA
Kalimpong, September 6
A protest rally was
organized today by the Bihari community residing in Kalimpong protesting the
statements given by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray and
the working President of the Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray.
The protest rally kick
started from Damber Chowk and ended at Thana Dara where the effigies of the Raj
and Uddhav were burnt. They also
appealed for the immediate arrest of the two which sounds totally against the
provisions of the Indian constitution. The rally also submitted a memorandum to
the Deputy Magistrate. Syam Prasad Gupta, the leader of the rally said that the
both of the leaders has been passing communal proclamations just to roast their
political bread which should be not taken for granted and should be arrested
and hanged. Also slamming the statement of Uddhav on permit, Gupta said that
being an Indian one can travel and reside in any places of the country and why
only the Biharis had to have permits to stay in Mumbai.
