Algarah, October 18:

A farewell programme for Shanti Moktan, a teacher of Algarah High School was held at the Algarah community hall, today under the presidentship of Vijay Pradhan, Algarah HS teachers’ In-charge. Moktan, who served the school since 1975 as a Nepali language teacher was presented a felicitation letter, souvenir and a shawl. Starting her teaching profession in 1975 as an adhoc teacher, Moktan later in the year 1980 became permanent and served the school for the past 32 years.

The welcome address was delivered by PM Ghatani while the programme was hosted by Pema Lhamu Bhutia. The students of the school presented a beautiful cultural programme. The former Principal of the school, Sayyed Ahmed, teachers, School Managing Committee, students, guardians, etc. were also present.
