The folk artists of the State will be given identity cards by the West Bengal government, the District Information and Cultural Officer has informed through a press release today. For the same the folk artists are directed to submit an application at the Sub Division Office along with passport size photograph. All those who have received identity cards before 30/11/2012 can also submit the application. The categories include singers, dancers, musicians, actors and traditional painters.
