NHPC Teesta III-IV celebrates 38th foundation day

The NHPC Teesta hyder power project Satge-III and IV jointly
organised the 38th foundation day at Kali Jhora on Wednesday. The
colorful day saw Darjeeling district collector Dr Saumitra Sen present as the
chief guest accompanied by the padmanujha himalayan zoological park director
Alhar Jha, the NHPC Teesta III, IV general manager RK Verma, NHPC chief
engineers Rajen Kumar, SP Mukherjee, Ram Swarup and Ramesh Mukherjee. The
programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
Chief guest Dr Sen congratulated the NHPC family for the
successful completion of the 38 years and also appreciated the varieties of
works done by the NHPC including the production of eletricity. He hoped that
the underconstruction 2 power projects under Darjeeling district will be
completed soon for which the administration will be providing all possible
support.
General manager Verma in his welcome speech praised and
welcomed all the NHPC workers. He detailed the achievement of the NHPC to the
gathering. He assured the power projects Teesta Stage III and that of the Rambi
will start well functioning by the end of this year and believed that by 2013
the projects will be completed in all aspects. He thanked the guest who had
come from various places of the district on the day
