BSNL consumers fed up with its poor services

Kalimpong, February 04:
The BSNL consumers in Kalimpong are fed up with its poor internet and mobile services. The ‘Connecting India’ theme of the BSNL is proving to be false here. The most affected are those consumers who have opted for the internet connection via BSNL SIM cards. They mostly face monthly inconvenience for the same. There has been no single day when the internet services have failed in the town. This month too, the services remain at halt for 10 days. Being a national brand, people along with the media houses are highly dependent on BSNL only to get disappointed.
When the media today approached the Kalimpong BSNL office, the concerned officer was found absent. SDANS, Deb Majumdar looks after the mobile inter and networking services of the BSNL’s varied sections. However, the official instead of taking care of it spends most of his time at Siliguri, informed a consumer. He could not even be connected over the phone. The BSNL office is already facing shortage of employees. Thus, the absence of the officer had added woe to the worry of the consumers as they do not know whom to approach for the inconvenience. The Sub Divisional Engineer & Internet Group officer, SS Singh clearly said that the issue is not under his domain.
