A public awareness programme related to employment under National Skilled Development Mission (NSDM), was held at the Kalimpong Krishak Kalyan Sangathan hall today by the ILFS. Representatives from 8 blocks partook in the programme.

Vishnu Chettri, KKKS General Secretary said that the Government of India through the National Skilled Development Mission aims to curb the ever increasing unemployment issue of the country. Through this mission the people are being delivered employment opportunities after being imparted training under the mission. Keeping in mind the unemployment faced by the Darjeeling hills, the said programme is being conducted here, said Chettri. Trainings will be given on various subjects, he added.

Roshni Darjee, Income Tax officer and ILFS Director, S Chowdhury was also present during the programme.
