With the onset of dry season incident of forest fire has been reported from the Kalimpong Sub Division. The forests of 20 Mile under Pankhabaari Range Algarah were engulfed by forest fire today. The location is 17 kms away from Kalimpong town. The locals of 20 Mile, Sillery Gaon, Pedong and the army men located in the area tried hard to put off the fire. Due to the nil BSNL services it was hard to get through the Fire Brigade. However, they were informed after which the team reached the spot.
