Mukesh sharma
Kalimpong, February 18:
After organizing the 3 days long Sarawati puja since the day of Vasant Panchami, most of the puja pandals today bid farewell to Goddess Saraswati. After the convergence of Rabi Jhora with River Teesta the idols of the Goddess is being dispersed at Melli. Due to the Teesta Power Project the water level at Rabi Jhora and Gail Khola has decreased which has put a halt at immersion of the idols there. The people are saddened over the plight of the River Teesta. Also today no fateful incidents were reported during the immersion if the idols.Tags: LOCAL
