The Silk Krishi Mela was organized by the Regional Sericulture Research Station, Central Silk Board, Kalimpong, Darjeeling, West Bengal at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Namthang, South Sikkim. During the programme 3 books on Nepali and English were also released. These books highlights about the new techniques and process of Sericulture. The sericulturists were urged to make use of the latest techniques and increase their revenue generation. More than 100 sericulturists from Sikkim and Kalimpong were present during the programme.
