The Sub Division Legal Services Committee, Kalimpong conducted the year’s first Lok Adalat today at the Kalimpong Court premises. Total of 117 cases were discussed which were handed over to the Lok Adalat. The issues included 34 cases pertaining to Stat Bank of India (SBI), Kalimpong Branch, 15 cases of SBI, Teesta Branch, 33 cases of Central Bank of India, Kalimpong Branch, 34 cases of Public Urban Credit Cooperative Society Limited and a case of Civil Judge, Senior Division, Kalimpong. Amalendu Bhowmick Chairman of Sub Division Legal Services Committee cum the Additional District Judge, Kalimpong was present as the Judge for the session. Senior advocated, DN Pandey and Vice President of Kalimpong Municipality, Ganga Maya Gurung were also present during the same.
