The journalists of Kalimpong along with representatives of various NGOs from today onwards has started collecting funds for cartoonist cum journalist Gautam Lama who is under treatment in a hospital at South India at present. On the first day itself Rs. 73,000 has been collected.  Donation counter were set up at Damber Chowk, CK Chowk and Haat Bazaar. . The fund raising will continue till March 6, 2013. All the funds collected will be handed over to Lama’s family which will further contribute for his medical expenses. The journalists have appealed one and all to come forward and donate for this noble cause.
