A team of Gorkhaland Task Force (GTF) under the leadership of Dr. Anos Das Pradhan met with the Darjeeling district SP Kunal Agarwal at Birla House today and demanded strict actions from the administration to put a halt to the disturbing situations in Kalimpong. They blamed the Kalimpong Thana In-charge Prasad Pradhan for the disturbed situations in the sub-division. The GTF faction further demanded the transfer of Prasad Pradhan. Likewise, they also said that the situation in the hills can be controlled by the state police force and there is no need to bring the forces from the center.

Reciprocating to the GTF’s demands, the SP informed that Prasad Pradhan has been transferred. He assured that law and order will be made stronger in the region and said that within two to three days both the forces from the state and the centre will be deployed.
