The Dendruk Welfare Association of 10th Mile, Kalimpong organized a religious programme during which the Buddhist monks of Changsa Gumpa inaugurated the Chesum altar religiously. NG Dukpa, IAS (Retd) Tribal officer, darjeeling district presided over as the chief guest. Buddhist devotees in large numbers attended the programme. Retd. Subedar Maj. Laden Bhutia coordinated the programmme. The association mainly aims to unite the community and to preserve the culture and heritage and also aims to contribute towards world peace.
