Kalimpong SDO office has sent a proposal to GTA Principal Secretary for creating seven block in sub division by re arranging the existing three . After getting instruction from GTA principal secretary today a meeting was called by Kalimpong Sdo offices which was attended by all the three Block development officers , kalimpong SDO, DMDC and GTA sabhasad from kalimpong.

The Main Agenda of the meeting was bifurcation of the existing Block area informed Kalimpong SDO K Radika Ayyer.

The two hour long meeting discussed about the area in which new blocks will be created.Kalimpong has at present Three Huge Blocks which includes Kalimpong Block 1, Algarah or Block 2 and Gorbuthan or Block 3.

The meeting first discussed to bifurcate Kalimpong Block 1 which was later decided that news Relli and Samthar block would be craved out form this Block.

Mean while Algarah Block was split into Algarah and Kagey whereas Gorbuthan into Gorbuthan and Jaldhaka Block.

Kalimpong SDO K Radika Ayyer Informed that the meeting was called after the GTA principal Secretary ordered us . ' We have decided in the meeting to make seven block offices in sub division by re arranging the existing three ' informed Ayyer adding that the resolution passed today will be sent to GTA principal Secretary.

According to the proposal  under Kalimpong Development Block Tasiding , Kalimpong , Bong , Balukhop , Dr. Grahams Homes, Dungra , Sindebung , Upper Echhey and lowe echhey and pudung GP has been incoperated. In new Relli block Lolay,  Kaffer - Kankebung , Gitdabling and Seokbir GP has been included Meanwhile in new Samthar Block Samalbong , Nimbong , Samthar , Yangmakum , Pabrintar (part,apart from lower comprising of Chunabhati DIF) GP area has been incorporated.

Similary Kagay Block linsey,lingseykha,Kagay 1 and Kagay 2 area has been bifurcated from  Algarah  Development Block which now have Sangsey,Sakyong, Dalapchand , Payiong, kashyong, Santook , Pedong and Lava Gitabling GP..

 Gorubathan Block will have  Nim , Gorubathan 1 , Gorubathan 2 , Dalim , Ahalay Pokhrebong and Pabringtar lower( DIF Area) Meanwhile Today Tnagta, PatenGodak,Rongo,Samsing and Kumani GP will now go to Jaldhaka dev.block which will have ist block HQ at Kumani according to the propasal passed today.
