The Kalimpong Sub Division Administration today send a official memorandum to The Principal Secretary GTA requesting to rethink about the proposal for bifurcation of blocks with regard to Teesta Gram Panchayat.

 The Sub division Office which received 3 memorandum from TMC, New Block Formation Committee and Tista GNLF wing in the last three days. The memorandum states that the representative of Different political and non political organization of Tista has expressed their in convenience and dissent with the proposal of Block delimitation with regard to Teesta GP so the administration  has appealed that the proposal may be given a rethink before actual implementation.

 It has also forwarded the prayer and the proposal given by the people of Tista including too Either form a separate blocks with headquarter at Tista within kalimpong Subdivision  taking GPs like Tista,Takling 1 & 2 , Rambi , Lamahatta etc or to keep Tista in kalimpong Sub division within kalimpong Block 1 as it is almost 40 kms from Darjeeling Sadar as compared to only 16 kms from Kalimpong.The copy of the letter has been sent to Darjeeling DM .
