The president of Myanglang Lepcha Development Board L.S.Tamsang has expressed happiness over the speed distribution of Tribal Certificate to the people of rural area by the administration. The Civic Administration of kalimpong has started a process to  ensure availability of proper government amenities to the Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste communities of the hills, the state government has decided to provide caste certificates from the grassroots level by organising SC/ST certificates camps at very rural area.

Earlier the process of making such certificates took around 6 months or more but after the formation MLDB the board has requested to Administration to consider the problems being faced by the SC/ST while applying for their respective certificates. After which the process of organising camps to distribute certificate in remote villages by the administration has started and in such camps more then 200 certificates is distributed just in a span of 8-10 hour. Kalimpong S.D.O and officers of B.D.O and Respective GP have reached the spot and help distribute such Certificate in about 4 GP in a span of 15 days.

After the administration has started the process for distribution of such camps Tamsang has expressed happiness and have thanked the Administration for their gesture. 'We are hopeful that the process continues in future' added Tamsang.
