The 310th birth anniversary of Teyongsi Srijunga was organized by the Yakthung Shong, Chumvoo Limboo Santathan at Dungra busty today. Home puja, Yuma puja and various literary and cultural programmes was also organized. The birth anniversary of Srijunga who is regarded as the fore-runner of the Limboo language has been observed since ages.

People from Teesta, Peshok, Nimbong, tanek, Kagey, Chibo and other area were present during the occasion.

President of the organisation N.D.Limbu when asked on the demand of a separate council said that form He said that we are tribal and our language is old , we have our own history,culture tradition rituals, and to conserve it we need a council. we got the status of tribal in 2003 but no work has been done to save our culture and tradition.We will meet the North Bengal Development Minister Gautam Dev soon and place our demand added limbu.
