An awareness programme on AIDS on the occasion of the World AIDS day was today organized at Kalimpong by Kalimpong Society for positive people group of different organizations, associations and the ICTC hospital. A rally at the outset kick-started from the Kalimpong Hospital with students holding placards and shouting slogans that encircled the town and ended at the Glen Family Foundation.

A street play 'Christmas in September' was organized by the student of the Kalimpong College at BSA where a group of college student performed among the children of the organization and the patient of care and support Centre of the Glen Family foundation trust spreading awareness.The center is a run by the trust in which aids patient are given treatment free of cost. A total of 7 patient is in the center as of now and 64 have left the world informed Sister Rachel Vice Provincial.
