Akin to every year this year too, the 65th Republic Day will be celebrated amid pomp and gaiety at Mela ground Kalimpong. The Sub Divisional Officer K Radhika Aiyar informed that the venue has been shifted as kalimpong last year saw the R-Day program at Main Road. She appealed one and all to participate on it and to make it a grand success.
A meeting was held today at the SDO office to discuss about the preparation of 26th Jan .

The celebration will kick start Flag hoisting at different offices with the main program  at the Mela Ground from 9 a.m onwards informed Aiyar. She said that about 6 school , police, home guard will perform March Past on the day followed by different cultural program .

The meeting was attended by all the line department along with representative of different schools and organisation.
