The decision of supporting Dr Mahendra P Lama independent candidate in the upcoming Loksabha polls by BHAGOP has raised many question among its own organization. After CP Giri from Sikkim a few days ago said that the decision of supporting lama was not made by Bhagop National Unit but by Darjeeling leader and bhagop should stay away from political matter, today Bhagop National President Dr .Enos Das Pradhan has cleared that the decision for supporting lama was taken unanimously in a meeting of Bhagop on March the 8th at Siliguri. He said that a written resolution was taken after the meeting on next day where Giri too was present. He informed that meeting has granted all the state representative to choose and help those candidate who can take the problem of Gorkhas. He said lama has the caliber to interact and collection support of the MP for our identity problem. He accused BJP of betraying the people of hills .
