In a fatal accident a Sikkim bound Savari vehicle bearing number SK 01-J0732 skidded 100 below the road at Bhalukhola N.H 31A in Malli police post under Kalimpong sub division today in the afternoon. The vehicle which was carrying 13 people (including the driver) was heading from Singtam to Siliguri .5 passengers have been killed and 8 are injured during the accident. 

The Driver Sitaram Chettri (28) of Singtam along with Furmeet Lepcha(24) of Chota Singtam and Anisur rehman(42) are among the dead who died on the spot meanwhile 2 has not been identified. Soon after the news of accident reached the police post all along with villagers rushed to the spot and took out the body and injured . The 8 injured were immediately rushed to Kalimpong hospital where Two unidentified patient were refer to NBMC for further treatment. The eye witness has told that the vehicle was trying to overtake another vehicle and lost its control and skidded below 100 feet down.
