4 drugs peddlers were arrested by Tista Police in NH31 A . The youth were caught red handed selling and buying drugs by Tista Sangrash Samiti which was formed after the minor rape incident at Tista last month. The Samiti have taken a initiative to stop drugs and illegal activities in and around Tista. The female activist of the samiti today caught hold of Mandeep Trikhatri(24) who was selling contraband substance to Arpan Gurung, Ramesh Biswakarma and Samir Pradhan of Tista and surrounding area. Police was then informed which came to the spot and arrested all four. Two cases of drugs in two days have been witness by Tista. Today 11 files of SP, 7 Files of N Ten and 3 bottles of R cough syrup were detained from the youth’s position. Meanwhile have been booked under 18c and 27 (b) of Drugs and Cosmetic act and were produced before Kalimpong court where they have been sent to 14 days of Judicial remand.
