A Sikkim bound Mahindra Maxx vehicle SK O2J O626 met with an accident at Ravijhoda under Tista check post killing the driver cum owner Bishnu Lal Chettri of Geyjing on the spot .He was only in the vehicle which was load with vegetable.The incident occurred between 1.30 a.m to 2  in the night when the vehicle skidded from the road and fell in the river Tista approx (50 feet) .One of the truck which was coming from behind inform the out post after which with the help of Tista rafting rescue group the body was taken out and was later sent for Post Mortem at Kalimpong Sub divisional hospital after which it was handed over to the kins.The cause of accident has not been known yet.The vehicle was recovered later in the evening.
