World Red Cross Day observed by the Kalimpong Red Cross Society (KRCS) at the town hall here today. The district society’s former secretary Dr. Enos Das Pradhan attended the function as the chief guest. Educationists, civil society members of the society were present on the occasion hosted by Col. D.K.Pradhan. KRCS secretary OB Das explained on the significance of the day. Students of Pranami Balika Vidyapeeth also performed a skit representing the life of Red Cross founder Henry Dunant. Brig. N K Gurung was also felicitated for his contribution to public life during the function.
