Repeated landslides along NH 10 stretch yesterday have already disrupted traffic along the Kalimpong-Sikkim-Siliguri route which for the tiny Himalayan state is considered a lifeline.The earlier landslides had resulted the closure of vehicles for two hour this afternoon but a fresh and massive landslides at around 7 pm today gobbled around 250 meter stretch at Swetijhora under Kalimpong Subdivision.
The GREF will start clearing of debris from tomorrow morning but the time of clearance has not been fixed. Traffic has been directed to divert via difficult and long route via Munsong to reach Kalimpong and then Darjeeling route to Siliguri for Sikkim vehicle while for Kalimpong Lava- Gorbuthan route
