CPIM Kalimpong
zonal party has send a memorandum to State CM Mamata Banejee praying for
establishment of Agriculture degree College in Kalimpong area.
Kalimpong
being a agriculture area don't have industries or Tea garden. Its
people depend upon agriculture. Kalimpong S.U.M.Institution teaches
Agriculture stream till class 12 after which due to lack of college in
this region student outsources colleges for further studies, so for
these student the prayer has been laid added Tara Sundas.
The Memo was send through MLA Kalimpong Dr Harka Bahadur Chettri who was going to Kolkatta
In
the memo Sundas has informed that Uttar Bangal Krisha Biswabidhalaya
has 80.17 acre land in Dungra,29 acre land in Pedong and 57 acre
recorded land in Dalapchand, Beside these land there is administrative
building along with experienced 17 faculty member he has requested CM to
established Agri degree college here.
Sundas told this will be a revolutionary step for development of agriculture of Kalimpong
