Inauguration of New 3D Theatre at Kalimpong Science centre

The lone Science Center of Darjeeling hills
Kalimpong Science centre has added one more attraction at the cost of
Rs. 38.50 lakh, a 3D theatre with just 50 seats , which is likely to
attract huge crowd, particularly school children, everyday.
GTA
Education Department executive director K B Yogi today inaugurated the 3D
theatre room who was present as the Chief guest of the day.GTA finance
department officer S D Bhutiya was too graced the occasion.
Speaking
at the inaugural function, Curater Dr B B Gurung informed that the
project was funded by Science and Technology department, Govt of West
Bengal and was executed by National Council of Science museum , Govt of
India. He thank the GTA for the gift and especially the students, should
make use of all the facilities in the science centre to learn even
difficult scientific aspects in the non-formal way.

3-D theatre is with a modern projection system. The theatre will
screen 3-D films related to wildlife, environment and space science on
all days of the week. Special shows would be arranged for school groups.
The ticket rate is Rs.30 for the general public and Rs.10 for students
informed Dr B B Gurung Curater of KSC.
However, special shows will be based on the demand also.
The Kalimpong Science Centre, spaciously situated on 7 acres of land is a place of great tourist attraction all over the year
In a Technical time the 3D theatre will play a vital role for the student informed Yogi in his speech
