Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi wrote a letter to the wife B.K.Thakuri of late Congress ex MP from Darjeeling K B Chettri, expressing grief on his death.

 
Empathizing with his wife, Sonia wrote in her letter that she could understand the trauma she was going through.

There are some events in life on which one has no control and one has to bear with them," 

Paying tributes to Chettri,  The veteran congressman following congress party line and discharge the responsibilities given to him in his political and social life with full dedication  she added .

Noting that the tragedy has brought unbearable pain to the family, Gandhi said that she is  with them in this hour of grief.

The letter came to Surendra Parekh , executive member of the West Bengal Pradesh Congress committee from Kalimpong who informed that the letter will be handed over to late MP wife B.K.Thakuri in a day or two.
