Kalimpong lad Master Trilok Subba, 7th.Dan international and national Taikwondo player was felicitated by Khel Samman award the West Bengal state .Subba received the award from the hands of Arup Biswas the sports minister at a function which was held at Netaji Indoor Stadium today in presence of State CM Mamata Banerjee.

Subba received a citation , trophy , cheque of 50 thousand, Shawl and fruits packet as award.
When contacted on phone  martial artiste from Kalimpong inform that he was happy when the host announced that I was the first sports person from Taikwondo to receive the ward in last three year .
2013 and 2014 no taikwondo player was chosen while this year four name was forwarded fro recommendation for ward by Bengal Taikwondo Association from which i was picked added Subba.

 Mamata Banerjee in her official FB page wrote
Today, we were honoured to felicitate outstanding sports personalities for their valuable contribution in respective fields and conferred on them awards in humble recognition of their great achievements.
We are proud of all of them.
We also extended support to clubs for their infrastructure development and encouraging sports and games.
To make world-class players, we have taken decision to form an Expert Committee with representations from leading sports enthusiasts, to identify various fields of sports and talents and suggest suitable road map. Our government is ready to provide all help to develop sports talent in the state.
I am also happy to share with you that we will build a modern stadium with indoor and outdoor facilities in New Town where we have already identified suitable land.
