Monday midnight accident at Nh 10 left one driver missing. A Sikkim Bound cement loaded truck(SK 01 D 3144 ) midnight skidded off the road damaging the barricade and plunged into ponding area of NHPC river Tista at Geilkhola around 12am.The area falls under the jurisdiction of Rambi OP under Kalimpong Police station . The truck was going towards Gangtok  .Only the wood portion of the vehicle was above the water in the morning when the rescue work started later from wee hour. The truck was pulled with the help of a crane which was lifted  above water later in the afternoon . The Driver biju bora 27 yrs actual resident of no.1 Bogoli, PO- Merbil, PS- Laluk, Lakhimpur assam who was living in 2nd mile siliguri could not be traced.
