The Kalimpong
District Demand Committee after the declaration of Kalimpong District
will be organizing a cleanliness drive coming 31st December. The program
was announced by Dr Harka Bahadur Chhetri in a press conference here
today.
Dr Chhetri said , Change does not come automatically,
when the good change in behavior of a person comes that is the true
change. He said We will clean old festoons, jungles from town area while
appealing to general mass of different ward and village area he said
every must clean their area to welcome the new year.Committee aim is to
walk along with a new thinking in new year eve.
Dr Chettri
today met with Jyotimay Kar The state co operative minister at Mungpong
where he discussed about the problem of Coperative banks of Hills with
minister Kar. Dr Chhetri said being a board of Director of state Co
operative board i welcome the minister at Mungpong which falls under my
assembly area. He said about 7 crore loans has been taken from Kalimpong
alone which include person of high stature also. He said after the new
board of District co operative bank was formed they recovered 2 crore
from 7 crore and how the next rest 5 crore loan can be recovered he
discussed the legal and other aspect with minister Kar.
Meanwhile
, countering on allegation made by Benay Tamang assistant secretary of
GJM that Dr Chhetri is speaking the language Mamata to obtain power Dr
Chhetri told i have no love with power and chair , if i had i would not
come out of Morcha. He said first resigning in 2012 from GTA chief post
and again taking oath at governor house is an example of Power and post
lover. He alleged that It was gurung through his frontal organization
made the atmosphere that demanded Gurung to handle GTA Chief post again
at that time
Meanwhile Dr Chhettri told that like other
time this time too Morcha came empty handed from Delhi Darbar. He said
no one is allowed to speak there last time too only MP S S Ahluwaliya
spoke when he took a GJM delegation to meet Modi which i was also a
part.He said at a time when GJM is saying that is got positive response
from Central Government not even a single news in National Media or a
official press release of Govt of India has come in this regards.
He
even took a jibe on the demand of formation of Committee on Gorkhaland
by GJM in Delhi Darbar , Dr Chettri said that the BJP government has
been briefed many time with all document and memorandum now why the demand has come Committee formation has always delayed process as seen
in Bhattarai Committee, BL Mina Committee and Shyamel Sen Committee in Hills.He alleged that Morcha has not fulfilled any promise and is not
honest .
