Annual vigilance committee gathering was organized by Bal Suraksha Abhiyan. A total of 68 VCs from eight villages of kalimpong sub division participated along with VCs from gorubathan, Darjeeling, Mirik and Jolung. Govt.Officers(information & cultural affair, ASST. labour Department , Dist. Child Protection officer and senior Advocate) from different dept were present as resource persons today who shared services n schemes to members.

At the end of the Programme members of Vigilance committee made three plan of action for the year 2016 on child protection and child Rights . Main objectives of the programme was To update the govt. Schemes and services existing in villages and To strengthen capacity of existing VC members along with creating meaningful linkages with Govt. Department , Update on child related laws and amendments and to Empower VC towards child Protection and child Right.
