JAP party has condemned the statement of BJP Candidate against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s grandnephew Chandra Kumar Bose recent remark quoting ‘I believe slogans like Bharat ki barbaadi or Gorkhaland should be treated as an attack on the integrity of India. I can't say whether its sedition or not but it’s definitely an attack on India and steps should be taken to curb it.”

Addressing a press meets JAP President and MLA Kalimpong Dr Harka Bahadur Chettri has said that these types of statement have hurt our community and we want a strong action to be taken against him. He said that the party will send a letter to PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh against Bose.

Chettri said the demand of Separate State is in our constitution in Art 3 A and anyone who gives this type of statement is supposed to be against Constitution,He said he should take back his word and sought apology against hurting the Gorkha sentiment.

He said if the BJP thinks that it is Diehard National Party then why is it tying with GJM who have given a anti national statement that Kalimpong is a part of Bhutan and the issue will be raised in International Forum.
Few days ago GJM too have written to Amit Shah regarding Bose apology.
Meanwhile Chandra Kumar Bose official Facebook page on 13th March have regretted his statement ‘I wish to clarify that the example given of Gorkhaland was not appropriate, as the context was integrity of India. Gorkhaland is an integral part of India, and I am fully aware of the contribution of Gorkha's to the Indian freedom struggle and in particular the admiration and support the Gorkha community gave to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The inadvertent error is regretted’.
