2 killed 8 injured in two separate incidents at NH 10

In two separate incident at NH 10 under Kalimpong
2 people died whereas 8 became injured. The first incident occurred on Wednesday
around 8 pm in Suntalay under Rambi Police post area. A i 10 vehicle SK 04
-0058 coming from Kalijhora met with an accident at Suntalay Golai when it
skidded about 60 ft down near tista . A total of 6 passenger from Malli Sikkim
was in the car. Soon after the accident the local and police rushed to the spot
and took out all six injured and admitted them to Rambi BPHC but the driver cum
owner of the vehicle Sangay Bhutia (50) of Malli Sikkim who was seriously
injured was referred to Siliguri where he succumbed to his injury on the way.
All 6 were returning from Kalijhora NHPC Dam area where they went to search a
body of a girl who went missing from North Sikkim from 29th June. Meanwhile the
dead body post mortem was conducted today and the body was handed over to Kins
of dead.
In similar incident around 2 pm today a Santro
Vehicle SK 04 C 2782 coming from Sikkim towards siliguri skidded from the road
nearly 100 ft down killing One Nono Lama (40) from Nepal on the spot at Kirney
under Malli Check post. OC Malli NS Kujur along with local rushed to the spot. A
total of 4 including the driver were in the vehicle. The other three who sustain
injuries were rushed to Malli Sikkim Hospital for treatment, whereas the body
of dead Lama was sent to Kalimpong Hospital.
This is the third accident in two week times
where all the three accident is met by Sikkim vehicle.
