BCA to hold training camp at Kalimpong

The
Bengal Cricket Association will be grounding its camp at St Augustine school in
Kalimpong for the scouting the cricketing talents of the place. Information
about the same the president of the Kalimpong Sports Association Orgen Lama
today said that earlier the working members of the BCA Ashmit Ghosh and A
Ghosal had come to Kalimpong for the examination of the ground. During their
visit they had applauded the talents of the hills in football and wished same
for cricket. The organising responsibility has been given to the Kalimpong
Veterans Association he said.
For the
camp, a total of 30 talents will be selected having the age under 16 years and
will be trained under known coach Kanchen Choudhary. The BCA has also
authorized Sandeep Jain, Yuvraj Chettri and Upendra Rai for the said camp. On
the connection, Sandeep Jain in Kolkata today met the president of the Bengal
Cricket board Jagmohan Dalmiyah for the invitation is learnt. Jain after the
meeting with Dalmiyah, has said that it was fruitful and in the near future
Kalimpong will produce host of good cricketers.
