BSNL Broadband Service at halt, creates inconvenience

It
seemed like the public of Kalimpong especially the students were left paralyzed
with the BSNL Broadband Service at halt since yesterday morning. The cyber
cafes of the town were deserted resulting into loss in their business. The students
after appearing the Board Examinations are on full swing in searching for
admissions in Colleges, but they are not being able to submit their forms
because of the issue.
One
of the cyber café owners, Sangay Lama said that the discontinuation in the
Broadband service happens twice or thrice in a month. And now since the
monsoons are arriving there are more chances of error in the services. The
concerned Department should take some steps regarding the matter before hand,
he asserted.
When
asked about the inconvenience to the BSNL DGM, he notified that due to some
technical errors the services are at halt and the Department has already
started the needful process. He also assured that the services shall start
soon.
