Kalimpong observes 21st death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi

KALIMPONG, May 21:
Kalimpong
today paid homage to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who was killed in a
suicide bomb attack on this day 21 years ago, under the chairmanship of District
Congress secretary Dilip Pradhan at his resident. The absence of proper office
at Kalimpong had forced them to observe the day at Pradhan’s house is learnt.
The meeting had the presence of youths from Sangsey and Mongsoong. The
gathering offered Khadas to the portrait of Late Rajiv Gandhi and later the
gathering discussed on the upcoming policies and programmes of the party. The
day also had the presence of Congress Minority Cell, District Chairman, L
Namchu, Phurba Bhutia, Indrajeet Sarki, Yogesh Tamang.Tags: LOCAL
