The temperature in Kalimpong has been mounting frequently.  Most of the tourists who have come all the way from the plain areas are not released form the hot sunny day. The temperature for the last 10-15 days has broken the earlier records. The maximum temperature recorded today was 33 degree celsius. Due to the scarcity of the water in the town, the concerned department has been distributing drinking water twice a week. Along with the rise in the temperature, mosquitoes have been troubling the locals.
