Six day long puja commences at Jhekar Chongay Monastery

Under the guidance of
the 88 year old Thakpa Rinpoche, the Jhekar Chongay Monastery today commenced
its 6 day long puja. The 88 year old Rinpoche is also the head monk of the
monastery. During this 6 day puja, the Rinpoche will also be delivering the
sermon based on the ‘Green Tara Buddha’ (one of the forms of Buddha).
During today’s sermon
the Rinpoche directed the Buddhist monks and devotees to follow the path of non
violence. Large number of devotees attended the 1st day of the puja.
It may be noted that
the Rinpoche Chopsang is the main Rinpoche of this monastery who is right now
residing at Kathmandu, Nepal.
