GJM campaign reaches the unreached

The
Gorkha Janamukti Morcha has accelerated their election campaign mostly in
Kalimpong where they clash in 9 seats with the oppositions out of 13. In the 33
No Chibo-Tashiding constituency the GJM’s Kajim Tshering Bhutia will take on
the Trinamool Congress Mahendra Gajmer.
The constituency has total voters of 13413
with 15 polling stations. It combines the Kalimpong Municipality ward no 17,
19, 20, 21 including Kalimpong Brach 1, Tashiding Gram Panchayat and Bhalokhop
Gram Panchayat. The constituency starting from Kalimpong town, the NH31 A,
Melli, Kirney ends at Bhalokhop. It also has Nongsong, a remotest village where
till date even electricity, connectivity and water facilities have not facilitated.
The
GJM candidate Bhutia at present has been reaching such places accounting the
problems and issues of the villagers. She has assured the public of the place to
carry out developmental works pertaining to education, health, electricity,
roads, drinking water and employment where the Departmental benefits have not
reached till date after the independence.
The
region is neither conducive for agriculture nor have any employment
opportunities. Bhutia today has assured that she shall first and foremost work
or the overall development of the place and has hoped that the people will
support her in the upcoming GTA election.
She
also requested the Departmental officers to visit the place and to explore it.
