‘New Delhi and Kolkata to be the focal point for Gorkhaland agitation’ CPRM

The Communist Party of Revolutionary
Marxists (CPRM) Kalimpong Sub Division Student Union General Secretary Kalyan
Rai got injured during police lathi-charged when trying to cross the police
barricade near Parliament at New Delhi on Thursday informed the CPRM
Spokesperson Govind Chettri.
Chettri simplifying on the matter informed
that the CPRM youths after denied handing over the memorandum of Gorkhaland in
the Parliament had to forcibly cross the barricade resulting police lathi
charge. The Centre is of the opinion that conceding and setting up the
Gorkhaland Territorial Administration in the Hills, the plights of the Gorkhas
has been solved which is untrue. The demand of Gorkhaland is a question of life
and death for the Gorkhas added Chettri for which the CPRM will be organising
various programmes at the national level he added.
“New Delhi and Kolkata will be the focal
point for agitation for Gorkhaland” said Chettri. In fact the people of Hills
have betrayed their own community and the party shall not permit others to do
so in future which can annihilate the community’s identity.
The
recent development in the Hills also proves that the identity of the Gorkhas figures
low-priced said Chettri. Furthermore the party shall hold meeting with the
agitating youths on their return from Delhi for the future course of action
said Chettri.
