A meeting of the Shree
Biswakarma Samaj was today held under the Chairmanship of Hari Prashad
Sashanker at the Syama Devi Mandir situated at Thakur Bari. Andesh Khati
addressing the gathering said that the childrens these days has been not
interested in priestly works and other functions of the Samaj. He said that the
amount of respect that other priest receives, a Biswakarma priest does not.
The day had the
presence of PB Cintury and Kumar Dural from Sikkim, MB Rasaily from Mangpo,
Ajit Bareilly from Darjeeling as the resource persons. The Darjeeling Hills
priests were also present on the day. The day also marked open house
discussion.
