Bank Linkage programme at full swing in the town

The Cooperative
Management Society has been educating the Self help Groups (SHGs) about Bank
Linkage. The 3 phased programme was conducted in the villages at first and the
final phase is being conducted at a central level. Similarly, during today’s
programmed 12 SHG members from Bijanbari, 1 from Kalimpong Block I, 5 from
Block II along with 25 trainees were imparted the said training by CB Roy,
Ratan Sen, Rajesh Sherpa and Kalyan Thapa. The gathering was informed that
every Gram Panchayat Unit (GPU) will be provided loans to form Krishi Rin Dan
Samiti. They also stressed on the importance of forming SHGs and were also
informed about the loan schemes by the NABARD.Tags: LOCAL
