A meeting was held today at the library hall in Kalimpong concerning the renovation and transformation of the libraries and to understand the problems and issues of the officials.
The GTA sabhasad and the library in charge Dr RB Bhujel, JKAS representatives, library officials,  JAKS, Kalimpong president Khadka Bikram Subba were present on the occasion.
 The problems of the library officials were discussed at large in the meeting. The libraries under the DGHC had remained poor and the GTA has been working to developed it said Dr Bhujel. Libraries today has been digital but the libraries of Kalimpong has been lagging behind and they decided to organize a meeting after which the beautification and modernization will kick start.
 Various projects for the libraries have also been submitted to the state government for consideration he informed and said that the recognisation of the rural libraries will be discussed in the coming meeting.
 The Janmukti Karmachari Sangathan library department president Bhopal Tamang said the AGS fund for the newspapers and the books which used to come from last three years has been stopped.
The libraries lack officials, there has been need of digitization and the problem will be cut short after the  formation of the local library authority said Dr Bhujel.
